A typical Internet address is randomly scanned several times a day by
hackers, wannabes and the curious, looking for weaknesses and opportunities for
mischief. As a result, connecting a company's internal network to the Internet
without a firewall is an unacceptable risk.
Firewall-1 is an industry-leading Internet security product from Check Point
Software Technologies, Ltd. It is well known for its large number of features.
The purpose of this course is to give network engineers the knowledge they need
to do a basic installation and configuration of Firewall-1, the opportunity to
practice these skills in a lab, and an introduction to Firewall-1 is more
advanced features. Topics include:

Hardening and preparing the firewalled PC

Discussion of advanced features, such as VPNs and authentication The course
consists of two full days of lecture and lab. Lectures on a particular subject
are followed by practice labs on that subject.
